Dot Strange, and this leads us to the topic of the internet; how it self regulates, people are attempting to be more detached from it, and how it can become scary. We begin the episode by introducing Royce and Nickels, two local graffiti artists. We discuss the culture surrounding graffiti, along with the parallels to Hip-Hop and how it's evolved into a global art form. We explore the thoughts of being original, focusing on being humble, and the importance of putting in work. The topic of creative blocks is brought up, and seeking inspiration from other sources but also just letting life happen. Royce brings up how Graffiti was started by kids, and Nickel discusses how the younger generation revolutionized the art. We talk about how Banksy is a marker showing that now everybody knows about graffiti/street art, an idea that seems impossible when looking at the early stages of graffiti. We discuss the prosecution of writers, and how sometimes documentation can be incriminating. Nickel shares his opinion about how others in coastal states recognize Salt Lake artists, and how it's still waiting to be discovered but so much progression has occurred. We discuss the idea of regional styles, and how being you is more important than trying to fit in. The evolution of tools is great but Royce suggests that it's kinda taking away from the culture, Nickels then brings up text generators and how that's a new cheat being used.

After the break we begin the discussion a Rhythm Roulette video on Youtube, Spotify playlists, the lack of buying music, and the inspiration that comes skate/bmx/graffiti footage. Royce briefly describes the graffiti movie Limitless and War 1. We talk about how english letters are still common worldwide, typography is the mastery of letters, sellout vibes, street, legal commissions, the importance of contributing to the art culture to continue progression, passion and mystery spots. Royce gives a brief idea of the rules behind graffiti, how it helps you progress faster, but to show respect for the Hip-Hop culture is to give to the community. The final thoughts consist of Royce providing a creative tip, and Nickels discusses layering to shape his art but admits it's difficult to describe the creative process.

After the break Dustin and Chris review As Above So Below, which leads us into talking about the tunnels under Salt Lake City and Ogden. Chris tells a story about people encountering shape shifters, Hell Ranch, and David Icke. We talk about hemp legalization and of how versatile a resource it is, then the different pre-rolled joints/blunt variations. The discussion moves to alternative energy inventions, the popularity in Palladium, rare minerals and graphite being used in electronics. We spend a while talking about the Star Wars story pretty much what we like, don't like and the it's future at Disney. The next discussion moves toward X-Men: Apocalypse, Deadpool and movies merging universes. Our collective experience with Spiderman, Superman and Shadows Of The Empire having terrible controls and being very difficult games. Chris talks about his metal band Turned To Stone, the music writing process and OST inspiration. Topic moves on to anime shows .hack and Accel World, where the society is plugged into the internet/technology. Mike brings up Oculus Rift porn video, and how the future of interacting within a 3D world is changing. We talk about our experience with bikes being stolen, fat tires, BMX videos, skateboarding scavenger hunts, drifting videos, how mountain environments produce the best drivers and the different racing sports. We finish this episode with news about Amazon's 13ft mech, and the lack of large mech-like robots.

Mike poorly describes the Hyundai RE:GENERATION project, Mario brings up a Ghostbusters/ACDC mash up, then we talk about our experience at the Glow In The Dark Tour. Jake mentions comedians Jerrod Carmichael and Kevin Nealon, we wonder if Boondocks is coming back, and whether the new season of Community will be good. Arrested Development talk, Mario's dislike of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Movie, then what animations were nominated. Jake lists some of the Grammy music nomination, and we discuss them. Jake brings up J. Cole, Mike talks about Freddie Gibbs/Madlib Piñata public response, the DJ Premier/Royce Da 5-9 collaboration, and Mario is surprised Sirus/XM is still available. Mike brings up Jin, Evidence and Alchemist on Sway In The Morning and Just Blaze involvement with EDM, then we end with a story of us going out on a DJ gig.

I ask Ed about his current projects, we talk about people printing porn at public libraries, early animation websites; Newgrounds, making money on ads, malware removal, video game forums, downloading music, origin of Mike's DJ nickname and early music inspiration. We move onto a topic about our after school library writing sessions, self-published zines, our early comic making days in middle school; including the reoccurring mushroom clouds explosion, the crude N64 Conker's Bad Fur Day, GTA Vice city, music playlists, trying to exercise, and eating a better diet. Cold weather, Ed walking his dogs, getting focused on working, cheating on video games, Ed not seeing the original Star Wars for a long time, focusing on a single field, Ed's origin with Flash, sound effects, Robot actor Mario, working more on personal projects, and favorite projects with long periods of time spent working on them.

After the break we go into discussions about Earth spinning into infinity, DVR and TV watching, limiting factors in early music sampling, memory, 8 core processing, rendering, humor, December depression, jetpacks, drones, Fallout New Vegas, a Left 4 Dead custom map, Signs, watching Crash with a large class, language barriers, Youtube comments, stupid adults. We begin some rants about religious extremists, idea of time and move into a weird tangent then back to religious extremists, the usefulness of a college education, learning the basics, Ed's time working at a hotel. Ed brings back the topic of religion, specifically about being thankful for his current position, and disliking the forceful religious individuals. Ed sums up some of his thoughts about wanting to be more creative than religious, and not wanting to put down anybody whether they are religious or not.

We go into discussion covering entertainment, comedy, pop culture, news, tech, movies and television.

I open the discussion with Dustin and Chris briefly introducing themselves; talking about what they're up to, baby names, and dealing with life. After we move into some video game talk, Dustin playing older games, steam sale, Space Engineers first-play review, then we gather our thoughts. Mike describes Rhythm Roulette, then we briefly bring up Randy's Records, MMO games with no servers, 3D printers, Gundam model building, and the sky falling in Dustin's living room. D&D, gaming feuds, and hours of playing Risk are brought up. We take another smoke break then move onto Vestax going out of Business. While we wait for some outside sounds to die down, Dustin pulls out a surprise for Chris and Mike, then we discuss Marijuana legalization and tribal lands. Dustin confesses his love for sugar; even though he's loss significant weight, we smoke a joint, then examine our age and time. Mike makes a suggestion for legalized smoking spaces in Utah, chocolate and coffee prices rising, Dustin and Chris' time as baristas then naturally go into a break.

After the break Dustin describes his air-soft event from earlier that day, New Years resolutions, our time at Game Works, and Mike asks Chris about his headphones. Chris talks about some music project he's thinking about, Dustin recounts an acid trip and listening to his favorite playlist. Dustin then brings up Drumline 2, bizarro Pharrell, "hourly wage," and we finish the episode by "growing up."
